This article is a bit confusing, because “Logitech Spotlight” is a presentation device, “Zoom” is a meeting system, but “Logitech Spotlight” has a zoom function, and "Zoom" also has a spotlight function while sharing.
Many of Logitech Spotlight users were hoping to use the special ability of Spotlight but finally disappointed that the special effect can only been seen on the actual computer but not via Zoom meetings.
I found 3 ways to use Logitech Spotlight in Zoom Meetings:
1. Use Zoom’s “whiteboard -> spotlight” function while sharing:
Because Logitech Spotlight has the ability to move mouse arrow, therefore we can use it to move Zoom’s spotlight. When sharing a file or screen, go to whiteboard function, then chose “spotlight”, then long press Logitech Spotlight’s top button, you can then move Zoom’s red spotlight. After moving the arrow or Zoom’s spotlight, the next page and last page buttons may not work, you have to press top button once, then the two page buttons can flip the pages.
2. Use PowerPoint's "Laser Pointer" function while presenting: (recommend)
Same to the first way, use Logitech Spotlight's ability to move mouse arrow, but this time
use PPT's "Laser pointer" function, and this way you can use the next and last page buttons without any problem.
3. Use a Video Capture Device
You may have the best effect, but you need to have a HDMI capture device and another computer to do this.
